Spend the lazy day with the goths on the water. We're changing it up for the heat. Sun tea, sangria and sunshine. EEK! Don your spookiest swimsuit, sun wear and SPF. Weather permitting, location to default to Silent Grove Farm as an alternate.

What is the cost to attend?

Our monthly gatherings are free to attend. But, for this particular event we have decided to book Friday ​and Saturday, July 19 & 20 at Shady Beach Campground 14332 MO-59, Noel, MO 64854. There is a day use ​fee of $5 at Shady Beach Campground payable at the office when you first arrive. There is a free public use ​parking lot close by to the campground as well:

Elk River - Mount Shira Access, 15144 MO-59, Noel, MO 64854.

I imagine that this parking lot will be very crowded later in the afternoon, come early if you plan to go this ​route!

If you are strapped for money, let the hosts know, we want everyone to come! Extra activities such as ​camping (about $15-18 per person per night) or taking a float (avg. $40 per person) will cost extra. You are ​not required to do any of this, you can just hang out with us at 3pm on Saturday when the food is served.

I am a shy introvert, but I love all things dark. Can I get familiar with the hosts and venue first?

Absolutely! Send a direct message through Facebook or Instagram or email admin@silentgrovefarm.com ​to set up a meeting.

Can I just show up to the venue without RSVPing?

For this particular event, the more the merrier! Bring your guy or ghoul, your batlings, your animals, your ​mama, no limits .. but bring them at your own risk the camp is a relaxed party atmosphere, there will be ​alcohol and 4:20 as it is recreational in Missouri!! You don’t have to RSVP, but it would be nice to know ​how many people are attending for food purposes. Please read the FAQ as there are fees involved for other ​activities at the camp.

Do I have to dress up for the event?

It is not required, but it is highly encouraged. We will be floating earlier in the day on Saturday morning if ​you want to show up before the picnic, bring a large floppy witch hat so we can float in style!

Can I bring my own food and/or drinks?

Yes! This is a potluck event. Bring a dish. There will be a BBQ grill available. If you are camping along, bring ​your food and drink as well for the time you are camping. There is a Walmart in Jane, Missouri if you need ​to stock up.

Is this an indoor or outdoor event?

This is an outdoor event. We are imagining water, shade, tubing, floating, picnic on the grass etc.

Is there camping?

Camping is not required, but you are welcome to. Please contact the hosts on how to join us for camping. ​You can book your own separate campsite for yourself or you can join our group camp using the group ​name “Wobser” by calling 417.475.6483 or by visiting https://www.shadybeach.com/camping/

What other things should I bring?

Water things like kayaks and floats. Swimsuits, towels, extra clothes, sunscreen, bug spray, coolers, ice, ​whatever you think will be good for a picnic.

What other things go on at a Goth Tea Party?

Lots of socializing! As the afternoon turns to evening we will probably BBQ, fish, float...whatever it is ​people do when they have picnics near water.
